Fell for a straight girl

I’ve been best friends with this girl for 4 years now. Recently I confessed that I liked her but got rejected. This really hurt me hard so I told her I needed some time away. I don’t want many people to know about this so I asked if she could keep it quiet but she told someone who told a lot of people. This caused a lot of drama between us. It’s been about 3 months since I’ve talked to her and honestly I miss her every day. The problem is with all that’s going on I just am nervous to talk to her again and scared I would fall in love all over again. Any advice??
