Positive parenting programs?

Question

So I want to take a positive parenting class. There's been talk about setting one up in town but there hasn't been enough interest. Not enough people signing up for it. 
Mind you they were trying to get people fro630-830 once a week for 8 weeks. Any who I have been trying to find an online course but have been un successful. 
Anyone be able to help guid me to one or even some good articles about it maybe? 
Stressful times. Feeling horrible and guilty for the way I have been handling my daughter. Ashamed as a mother. I shouldn't have snapped

look into Cirlce of Securoty and Make Parenting a Pleasure...they may be offered by local counseling centers or even at your local DHS office

You can always look for a book from the library...free and you can do it on your own time. Love and Logic is a popular one (doesn't work for all kids though) but you can find all kinds at the library to fit your style and situation. And sometimes parents snap and yell at the kids. We are only human and parenting is hard. The important thing is to learn and do better next time. Sometimes kids need to see that you are angry about something they did (it helps them learn it is not ok to do what they did)...but you have to express the anger in a good way and try to reserve it for things that are really not ok and not because you are stressed. Speaking of which, stress is probably what made  you snap...so take care of yourself. Time for mama is important for mdntal well being.
