My husband and I are having our first baby 🤗 and I was wondering if throwing my own baby shower would be inappropriate?

I have a whopping total of ONE girl friend who’d be able to do the planning, but I’d hate to ask her to do so (or sit around and wait for her to offer) because she recently threw a shower for her husbands coworker and I wouldn’t want her paying for everything.

We live overseas and can’t have family throw the party, and I’d honestly love to have one but would feel a little selfish to throw it myself. What should I do?!
