Why hasn't my milk came in yet?

Im 8 days postpartum and my milk still hasn't came in. Im pumping every 3 hours and I only make around 1/4 oz per session if that. I had a c-section and lost a lot of blood but 8 days seems like a bit much. I don't know what to do. I hate feeding my baby formula

My milk never came in and I'm 11 days post partum. I hate formula too but I wasn't getting anything and he was starving.

There’s nothing quite like a baby sucking in order to stimulate your milk supply, try nursing baby 🙂 good luck!

i was told not to pump as it decreases your supply. If you can, nurse her. You can lie down to make things easier.

Was your baby born early? My midwife said that our bodies will produce colostrum longer for premature babies. Also, surgery, blood loss, and added fluids like a saline drip can slow things down. Is there a chance your pump has a bad motor? I had a borrowed pump with my first daughter. When I got my own new one, the suction was better. 
Getting lots of skin to skin time can increase milk supply. Fenugreek seed also works. 
Good luck. I really struggled in the beginning with my first daughter. Breastfeeding is very challenging. I hope it all works out for you.

Idk. I’m also 8days post partum too!!! Congrats on your sweet baby. My milk came in on the 3rd day but I had c section. My pumping sessions I can pump 1-2 oz out each boobies depending if I breast feed him or not. I’m doing both breast feed at formula feeding so I rotated him. For me I drink hot water while pumping and also taking a very hot shower. Try calling your Dr maybe he can prescribe you some medications to help your milk come in. I hope it comes soon.
