Why does it hurt to take my tampon out? HELP!!

I just started using tampons so you can say I’m a beginner. It’s my 3rd time using a tampon and when I take it out it hurts bad! I only leave in in for like 2 hours because I’m scared I’m going to take it out to late. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? help plz!!

it's probably too dry, try using a smaller one if you're not already using a light tampon.

If it’s too dry it sticks and hurts. Have you ever had a cotton ball in your mouth and it leaves a dry spot where it was touching. It’s the same thing with tampons. The wetter it is the easier it is to take out. Read the insert in the tampon box for the recommended time you should wear it before changing and try to stick to that time.

It could be that you're dry down there. that happens to me sometimes. and 8 hours is the max to leave a tampon in, so you're ok lol. But if it keeps hurting like that, just let your downstairs rest for a couple days and stick to pads. then try again

Leave it in long enough, i find that I leave mine in for 3-4 hours depending on the flow maybe more, just don’t go over 8 hours, and wear a pad or panty liners Incase you leak.

Literally been using tampons for years and sometimes they still hurt to put in/ take out. Just make sure your flow is really heavy and you leave it in for a while.
