Christmas! 🎄 anyone else like to make sure they spend the same on each child?

*regardless of cost.
Now please no hate as I know I have gone OTT with gifts this year, after telling myself to only spend £100 on EACH child. 
They both have 12 presents, but my older child’s come to £150 MORE than my younger child’s.  
I am debating whether to put the difference just straight into his bank account. 
So does anyone else do this; make sure they spend the same or have the same amount of presents for each child?

I don’t think the dollar amount makes a huge difference...so long as they have the same amount of boxes to open

I usually go overboard on Christmas so both my son's 19 and 9 get what they ask for and more so I don't bother with making the dollar amount equal. If my kids were very close in age or super competitive with one another I may feel differently.

I think that it depends on the kids ages, if you have a kid to young to understand how much things cost then you shouldn't have to spend the same amount. for example: you buy your fifteen year old an ipad and dolls for your three year old, your three year old doesn't quite understand that dolls don't cost as much as an ipad.

My 5 yo wants luvabella and new stuff for her room. Mind you luvabella is average of $130 but I scored $89. Then my 11 yo wants forever 21 and Rue 21 gift cards! Two Pink sweatshirts! So their wants are different so I just get what they want

My brother and I are 3.5 years apart and my parents usually try to spend the same amount. It doesn't matter how many presents.

i usually get them the same amount of gifts or within a few. there may be a 1 to 3 gift difference. i dont worry about if i spend the same though, they dont know how much things cost anyways.

My brother is 7 years younger than me. When we were little we would all just open things and it was awesome. As we got older my grandma started doing this because my brothers toys would often cost more than the few things I asked for as a teenager. So she would give me the rest in cash and say that was the difference in what she spent on us. It was weird and he would always wonder why I got money and he didn’t. I would just get what they want and be done with it.
