TMI: End of period TTC?

TMI WARNING. I’m not quite TTC, but I’ve recently had my IUD removed to track my periods for when the time comes that I do want to try again. But I’m just wondering what you ladies do when it comes to officially saying your period is over? I feel like I am still brownish dischargey for quite a few days. So do you count those days? If that’s the case, I’m on day 9 of my period. I feel like it’s cut and dry on when you start your period, but not really sure when you say you’re done. Do you wait until every last brown teeny bit is gone from your tampon? Is the first day you’re off your period when you pull out a white tampon? Sorry so gross! Just trying to decide how to use this app and track correctly. What do you ladies do?
