6 days late, negative tests. Could I still be pregnant?

My period is 6 days late. I took a test at 2 and 3 days late but they were both negative. I have never been late before and this is my first month off of the pill. Can I still be pregnant?

Answer

It’s possible if you’ve been trying. However it could also be because you just got off the pill. Your body will have to re-regulate itself and that can throw your cycle off. I would wait another week just in case and if it doesn’t start, take another test. If it’s negative then you can call your doctor and let them know how late you are and see if they’ll do a blood test.
