Anyone ttc a girl specifically?

I have a boy (7) and I really want a girl. I recently stumbled on something called "gender swaying" which is basically different  things you can do to increase your chances of a specific gender. I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard of or tried this?

Yeah. If you have sex two or more days  before you ovulate, you can have a girl, if you have sex right as you ovulate, you can have a boy. 
XX Sperm (girl sperm) lasts longer inside of you, but slowly move, while XY sperm (boy sperm) moves quick but dies quickly. 
Normally (theoretically) to have a girl, women have sex a few days before their time to ovulate. So say you’ll ovulate on the 10th, you’ll have sex on the 7th or 8th and wait. 
It will give the XX sperm time to swim to the destination and wait for the egg, while the XY sperm have died off. Once the egg pops out. The XX sperm will meet and poof, bouncing baby girl. 
Now it’s not guaranteed, but this is the raw basic scientific breakdown.

I’ve read a fair bit on this stuff. It’s so contradicting though. There’s one method, and then there’s another, and they’re literally the opposite. One method is to try before ovulation for a girl, and on ovulation for a boy (due to the speed and lifespan of boy vs girl sperm) and the other method is before ovulation for a boy and on ovulation for a girl. 
I’ve also read a lot about it all being myths. As far as I’m aware, there’s no scientific evidence or proof that you can choose or try for a certain gender. But there’s no harm in trying! 
(Chinese gender prediction calendar told me I’d have a girl when I had a boy so that didn’t work for me either) haha.

I don't believe u can try for specific gender personally but that's my opinion....I have 2 girls my partner has 2 boys 1 girl he would love another girl I would love a boy but iv got a sneaking suspicion I can't carry boys and I'd give him the girl he wants my mum had 3 girls I have 2 and my 2 sisters have a girl each
