How long does the extreme clingy stage last?

I heard about this stage...but now I'm living it. My daughter is almost 11 months old and will literally scream and cry if I am not holding her. Being right next to me isn't even enough. I'm getting wore out... It's like the newborn stage all over again where I can't get anything done. I love the cuddles but the extreme crying and screaming if I'm not holding her is making me crazy.

Mine is 1 year and we are definitely getting frustrated with it! Also she wants to be carried everywhere and my back is getting so sore!

Almost 11 months here and if I even cross the threshold to another room she starts crying. I keep waiting for it to stop but there’s no end in sight.

My son started that at 12 months and it lasted a little over a month. I used the baby carrier, he loved to ride around on my back while I cooked or cleaned. He got sooooo excited whenever he saw me take the carrier out lol

I don’t have an answer but highly recommend a baby carrier! They can be close and you can still get stuff done.

i have one year old g/b twins and im REALLY glad only the girl is clingy. we're now on vacation at my parents' home and she just doesnt want to be carried by other people even if it's been a week. my arms really hurt, and it gets frustrating when my other baby needs attention as well. i do hope this phase ends soon.
