HELP! People kissing your baby😡

I currently am 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby.

On Thanksgiving I was talking with my dad and brother about the risks of kissing babies whether it be their faces, fingers, toes, or any other body surface. I stated how I will not be allowing anyone to kiss my daughter regardless of how sanitary they claim to be. Apparently this completely outraged my dad and brother. My brother made various comments on how rude it was to accuse people of carrying virus’ and germs that would compromise the baby’s health. I didn’t accuse anyone of anything and was just stating that kissing is not acceptable. My dad then decided to tell me he successfully raised three babies and had no issues with anyone of us getting sick or cause an outbreak. He then tells me it’s impossible to enforce and he will be kissing his grandchild whenever he feels like it.

You can say I was SUPER pissed at this point. I struggle with my dad because he thinks he knows what’s best, and that my opinions and choices with my daughter are irrelevant. We had the same argument with him over the whooping cough vaccination last month.

How do you handle people always trying to make parenting choices for you? And how do you get people to not kiss your baby? 🙄
