Co Sleeping and Room Sharing are the same thing. I assume you meant Bed sharing with Co-Sleeping. I personally followed the AAP Guidelines which is to Co-Sleep for the first 12 months. My daughter is 18 months and still sleeps in our room. For the first 8 months my daughter slept in a pack’n play next to our bed, after we moved into our new house when she was 8 months she refused to sleep on her own so we bed-shared, and then at 16 months I moved her to a full size mattress on the floor where she sleeps now. I think it’s up to the parents to decide what works best.

Co sleeping is room sharing. It doesn’t necessarily mean bed sharing. Co sleeping is recommended and that’s what we did. Again, co sleeping does not mean bed sharing.

I had my daughter in my room for about 2 weeks. We just never got any sleep that way. I would wake every time she moved or made a small noise. So we put her in her crib.

I prefer to have my babies in my room, but in their own bed until they are ready for a toddler bed. My husband and I are both very large and both move a lot in our sleep, so bed sharing just would not work for us safely at all. With the baby in our room it's easier to take care of night time feeding and diaper changing with minimal light and sleep interruption. Works for us.

My daughter is only about two months old, and she is the quietest crier ever. So she sleeps in our room. She has bad acid reflux so she usually falls asleep on my chest and I either leave her there or put her in the bassinet in our room.
