How do you know when it's the RIGHT person?

I've seen guys with great personality, but then when they get older they're personality isn't the best anymore :/

Answer

I don't think you know till you think back on it and realize this person genuinely respects themselves, respects others, respects me and makes me happy/supports me, etc. And it's a matter of the right timing and both people willing to put in the effort --it feels right.
