International flights

Has anyone here flown internationally with a baby? I’m not sure if I should choose the 8.5 hr daytime flight or the 10.5 hr overnight flight. My daughter will be almost 8 months old. If we take a daytime flight, we would stay a night in a hotel then continue to our destination the next day (a 3 hr flight) or the overnight flight is direct.

I’m torn because I never sleep on he overnight ones and then am exhausted the day we arrive. I would hate to be cranky and have a cranky baby too. The daytime flight means we can sleep in a bed hat night and be fresh in the morning.

Anyone have any experience?
