Went into labor on my last day at work!

I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. My due date was 11/29, so I️ decided that 11/17 would be my last day at work and allow myself a week to nest and get everything ready for baby...

But clearly he had other plans. Lol

I️ Work from home and was on a conference call at 11:30AM and I noticed that I️ was having contractions 20 minutes apart. They were painful but I️ knew that since they were so far apart that I️ just had to bear with them. Well 5 minutes after that the contractions were coming every 3 minutes and I️ literally thought I️ was about to have the baby at home.

Luckily my little brother wasn’t feeling well that day and I️ allowed him to play hookie from school. He was a tremendous help as my boyfriend was working out of state for the next few days and our parents were at work.

When I️ arrived at the hospital I️ was 4cm dialated and they admitted me. I️ received my epidural (no shame) and things seemed to be going well.

The epidural wore off 😭 and I️ was given another dose, but that didn’t last long either. The pain was horrible until the dr allowed me to get a dose of fentanyl. Then I️ was A-ok.

My son was born at 9:02 PM and I️ am sooooo in Love. He is absolutely perfect.

My first obgyn told me to abort my baby because she suspected he would have a club foot and Trisomy 13 or 21. I️ didn’t listen and had a CVS test done instead.

My baby boy is healthy and has none of the complications that crazy doctor indicated. I’m so glad I️ didn’t listen!

Jayden is 6pounds 9oz and 18.5 inches long.

Yes, I️ had horrible heartburn.
