Natural birth is like being an Amazonian..

Ok guys my little man is here! I was scheduled for an induction because I was having hypertension towards the end of pregnancy. Started when I was 7 months with him. So Thursday morning at 7 I came into L&D;, they broke my water for me (the first resident that tried could not get it to break and he kept getting away from her, eventually my dr came in and did it right away), it was uncomfortable. Not gonna lie. I was then assessed and dilated to a four and 60% effaced. I stayed this way until 10:30 they came in checked me over and decided to give me pitocin. I didn’t want it but I wasn’t progressing. Contractions had been ramping up to 2-3 min apart but nothing serious. By the time it had turned 12 I was a 7 and had maybe 1-2 ml of total pitocin! So most of the progress was all me! I didn’t know I was a seven when I let my hubby go out to eat lunch and I was totally feeling every. single. contraction. I asked for my epidural and they came in had already given me the lidocaine for it and I was like ohhh man I need to push! So needless to say I didn’t have time for an epidural. I had went from a 4-10 in an hour half. 😳 I’m just going to put this out there...kudos to you women that do natural birth. OMFG. I felt eevverrryyythinnggggg. It only took three pushes and he was out but I was like ow, ow, ow. I felt like I was screaming but I guess I wasn’t. I kept apologizing saying I should’ve got my epidural sooner. The dr wasn’t even in the room and I was like I HAVE TO PUSH! They grabbed my legs and pushed them together and was like she’s coming just wait..LOL..whew. The pressure on my junk was innnsane. Holy cats, Batman...I will never do that again. My body just kind of took over itself and pushed regardless if I was or not. It was incredible. He came into this world at 1:21 pm. 6 pounds 7 ounces and 18 inches long. Since he was born at 37 weeks they monitored his breathing for awhile but he’s been doing good! He’s also latched on so well too! I’m so proud of him. 😍
