Return to normal

I had my daughter November 2016. I bf until she turned 10 months. I had my period one time when she was around 8 months old and twice since she was 10 months old none of them were regular in terms of flow and length. DH and I are trying for baby #2 have been trying for almost 5 months now but getting discouraged since I can’t track my cycle. How long after you stopped breastfeeding did your cycle return to normal?
