Help 😔

So me and my SO are trying to conceive . We always talk about it and if it happened different things like baby names . My SO wants to name our baby Carter regardless if it's a boy or girl . I think the name is cute but there's only one problem .... My ex boyfriend , the one I was with before my SO cheated on me with his ex girlfriend which is why we broke up .They just had a son and named him Carter . I told him this so he knows why I don't really approve of the name . I think it's a cute name but I don't want anyone thinking I'm copying them . Am I overreacting ? Should I just go with what SO thinks ?
