pregnancy confirmation

So this may sound weird or confusing, but I took a pregnancy test Sunday and for the first time it looked to be positive but the line was extremely faint. I had taken pregnancy tests prior to missing my period but they were negative. my period is now a week late but the test I took this morning was still extremely faint. I plan to test again in the morning, and go to the doctor on Thursday to have it confirmed. I'm just confused and looking for a bit of insight. my husband and I are extremely excited about all of this I just don't wanna get our hopes up for nothing
