My boyfriend wants me off my bc

My boyfriend of two months hates over the counter drugs and pills and today after sex he told me that he thinks I should get off of birth control while I’m home (I’m going home for a month so i wont be seeing him) the thing is I started birth control to help my periods 3 years ago, not sex, so now that I am having sex it’s cool because I’m already on it. But he wants me to stop and he said maybe my periods aren’t as bad anymore. I was like uhhh I don’t know about that. But then when I told my friends he said that they were like it’s cause he doesn’t want you having sex with anyone else when you go home, so now I don’t know, he and I are pretty honest with each other and I lost my virginity to him so I don’t think he thinks I’m gonna go home and just hop on a different guy... thoughts?
