Baby Gender scan? Confused

Question

My next appointment is January 2nd. Ill be 15w6d so basically 16 weeks. Ill be getting an ultrasound done. They told me that they will send me when im 18-20 weeks to the hospital i will deliver at to find out the gender through ultrasound. Well, how come? Isnt there a possibility they will see it on January 2nd? I don’t understand if they have the availability to see it then, why would they send me somewhere else?

Most likely they wont see it at 15 weeks unless you get super lucky. The 20 week scam is important and about way more than just gender. Gender is just a plus of that one usually by they’re checking so much more than just that

I feel like they just don't want to be wrong, or they want the parts to be formed more, so they can tell you with out hesitation.

Sometimes they just like to wait. There’s less of a chance of them getting it wrong the further along you are. I found out the gender at 14 weeks and it was right though 🤷‍♀️
