Minimum wage.
I know I create a lot of topics about money 🤦🏼♀️ but I’m just trying to see the rest of people’s views and all.
What is minimum wage where you live and do you think it’s reasonable to live off of?
I know most people don’t make minimum wage.
Do you think your wage should go up when minimum wage goes up?
My opinion: I’m in Alberta Canada, minimum wage is $13.60. It is going up to $15.00 next year. I think it could be reasonable to live off of for a single person. But not a family even if both parents made it.
Personally I do think your regular over minimum wage should be raised even a little bit when minimum wage goes up. And I know some people might think that companies shouldn’t have to higher their pay just because the government did.
But I say this based on my SO owning a company and appreciating his employees. Nobody should be struggling to take care of their families.
Will cost of living go up a lot too? Why are we making it hard for people to get by!
It costs $5 dollars to buy a 4L jug of milk here so that’s just a reference.
