Metformin causing vomiting, diarrhea, and chills?

I've been taking it for 6 weeks and this is the absolute worst I've ever been. My throat is swollen from vomiting. I've got bad chills and a horrible stomach ache. I don't know if I should go to the hospital or not?!

I take it 3x a day and never had side affects. your body must be reacting badly to it

I’ve been taking it for 15 years with no issues. I would speak to your DR, those are extreme side effects

Those are the side effects of the pill & exactly the reason why I refused to take it. I would stop taking it if I was you. But it is completely up to you. I researched everything on that pill because I got diagnosed with pcos and my doctor pushed that metformin on me because I was trying to conceive . Once I did my own research I told him there was no way I was taking it and I would try to conceive on my own. You have to be careful with that medication.
