How did you figure out your gender/sexuality?

Question

I have always felt different from everyone. I never had a crush on a person I didn't have a friendship with first. I would be called liar because "everyone has a crush 🙄". 
I feel I might be pan because I frankly don't care what's down stairs either, the way a person is is what attracts me. 
How did you find out what you really are?

I’m STILL figuring mine out. It’s the most confusing thing ever. 
I think I’m bi. But I rarely ever have crushes. Emphasis on the rare part as I only first got a crush at 19. 
The idea of “you just know” does just make me feel all the more insecure in my sexuality tbh.

I always knew I liked girls. My first ever crush way back in kindergarten was on a girl. But I thought I liked guys too. 
When I was 15 I had sex with a guy for the first time. And it was the worst experience of my life. I was so freaked out and at the time I had no idea why and I felt guilty... cause the guy had been super nice and understanding with me, while I was on the verge of tears and grossed out. But somehow it STILL didn't occur to me that I was gay. Instead I decided that there was something wrong with me or I had been too nervous or something. 
Until I graduated high school and went to beauty school. There were quite a few lesbians there. And one of them would talk about one of the gay guys in the school like "i love him. He'a such a sweetheart. Too bad he has a penis" and she was like, dead serious. Lol  so from talking to her I discovered that she would get crushes on guys. She liked guys, but when it came to sex with one, she couldn't do it. That's where the problem was. 
Which is EXACTLY how it was for me. I could get crushes on dudes. But when I tried to have sex with one - it freaked me out and I wanted nothing to do with it. But I didn't have that problem with women. It felt natural. 
So I did more research on how sexuality is a spectrum. And now I identify as lesbian. On the Kinsey scale, I'm like 80%-90% lesbian. And once I started calling myself a lesbian it was like this huge weight had come off my shoulders that I hadn't even realized was there before. Lol and I can't believe how long it took me to figure that out. Because everyone else knew before I did 😫 when I tried to update my friends, every single one of them was like "uhhhhh. No shit Sherlock? I thought that had already been established?" 😂 and I've had coworkers tell me that I'm such an obvious lesbian. 
Why didn't anyone tell me sooner? I was struggling with this for years lol

Shit fam I’m still sorting it out. I say I’m bi because I hate having to do the “obligatory” explanation of what pan is (ya know. Where someone asks and while you don’t have to answer you’re an asshole if you don’t EVEN THOUGH THERE IS GOOGLE). And even then I don’t know for certain. The only constant is that I will find anyone who is attractive to me physically appealing. Doesn’t matter what their sex or gender is. If they’re attractive to me I like them as any straight person likes the opposite sex. 
On top of that I’m not sexually interested in women? I’m romantically interested but feel no sexual desire for women. Which...I honestly don’t know what I would call that. 
It’s only been the last three years on Glow that I’ve actually gone from thinking myself “strictly dickly” to “oh my god that person is beautiful I love them”. Prior to that I just brushed off any attraction to the same sex as “oh they’re aesthetically nice to look at”.
