did your period affect your supply?

for those who got their periods whilst breastfeeding. did it decrease your milk supply? how much? and what did you do to maintain it?

My baby is due in feb so idk about supply & period. A member posted this recipe to help with supply & demand of milk.

I’ve only had one so far. It decreased a little but I still had plenty. I usually breastfeed one side per feeding and I found myself having to use both at each feeding. After the period was over my supply went back up and I felt engorged a little until it stabilized again. Not sure if that will happen every time or if that was just a fluke.

My periods didn't become regular again until little one about two. I didn't notice a difference in supply, and he started solids and drinking water from a cup at six months too so a dip in supply wouldn't have mattered as more a nutritional supplement and immunity and way of mothering by then not sole sustenance like with a newborn, but I got terrible nursing aversion at PMS time!
