What do teachers think of shy introverts?

I'm in the shy side at school I always had wonder what do teachers think of introvert's, shy people that don't talk much and don't even participate in class some people say shy people are "freaks" I'm not a freak at all I'm super reserved

Being as socially awkward as I am, genuinely hated getting picked on at school because even if I had an answer or idea, the following would happen:
•Stuttering overload
•Mind blanks
•Unnecessarily large amounts of blushing 
•Suddenly hyperaware of my hands and where I should be looking
Then after giving an answer I’d spend the rest of the lesson agonising over how awkward I had been. Even if everyone had moved on straight away.

I personally like them, y'all tend to work the hardest and get the best grades without getting cocky. I always try to draw the shy ones out though . . .

I teach high school and the shy kids are seriously the best! I use them as examples to be like! They are the ones with the best grades, best heart, most compassionate people ❤️ so many teachers LOVE shy babies! Nothing wrong with who you are! My shy babies have my ❤️

I was always the shy and quiet kid, teachers always used to write in my reports that I needed to talk more etc. None of them ever spoke to me about it and tried to help me though

Why would being shy make you a freak? 
I didn't talk much and my teachers seemed to like me pretty well. 
Probably because I saw school as school and not a social event

I'm a teacher and I love my shy students. I love seeing them interacting with their peers because I can see more of their personality shine through. They seem to be more shy with me than their peers.

They are my favorite. Sometimes I wish my students would be quite for like 5 minutes lol. 
I do wish they talked more in class discussion, but some people are just quite. I only want to know when they are thinking and how they are processing the lesson

What do teachers think of quiet kids? Depends - on their personality, not whether they are quiet or loud. 
Students can be loud and obnoxious, or loud and helpful in furthering class discussions. Students can also be quiet and pensive and polite and observant, or they can be quiet and be knobs. 
I think you’re overthinking this. The things that make impressions aren’t whether a student is loud or quiet. It’s whether they are friendly, polite, rude, helpful, respectful, engaged, enthusiastic, relatable... etc.
