What is a good amount to pump??

As I breastfeed I have to go back to work very soon and my girl is 24 days old. These were just form the past 2.5?days after she’s already been breast fed. I have already given my mom who will be taking care of our girl about 50oz I would say as the bags had 5oz or so in each. Just right, too much or too little? First time momma!

that looks awesome! make sure to label when you pumped (night milk and day are different). If you give the milk at the right time of day, it will help them sleep better (melatonin in night milk to help them sleep, you want that at night! )

I would just recommend putting 3-4 ounces in a bag. A 6 month old only takes 3oz at a time from breast so I wouldn’t over feed them!

I don’t mean this to sound harsh but that’s too much! There’s no need to pump until after 6 weeks when your supply regulates. This site helped me a bunch as well as well as joining breastfeeding Mom groups on fb!

That sounds like plenty! I use the same Kiinde bag system! I've been back at work two weeks, and my little one is almost 8 weeks old. I have about a week's worth of milk in my freezer, but they say you really only need 3 days worth. So you're doing great!
