Nighttime routine for 7 week old?

Question

What is yours? I’m worried she’s going to get into some bad habits, but I have no idea what to do! What time is good? How do I get her to sleep at a certain time? Do I have to go to bed st the same time? How do I get her to sleep through the night?

I feel like 7 weeks is just a little too young to try and sleep train. I do like to keep to routines with my 8 wk old but really I just listen to her needs until she gets a bit older

We started a routine about two weeks ago and little man is 8 weeks tomorrow. Well do bath (2x/week), lotion, swaddle and nursing. He’s still sort of inconsistent for when he goes to sleep but it’s absolutely helped him calm down at nights and he seems to be starting to respond to it. He’s been going down around 10-11 which it used to be midnight at the earliest.

We have been doing a bedtime routine since the start. We a toddler so we all do story time together then I put my daughter to sleep then change baby (diaper and into PJs and sleep sack) I nurse him and cuddle with him to he is almost asleep and put him in his crib. Most night he is asleep between 730-8 and we leave him in my bedroom with his monitor on. Usually he will sleep 4 hours.

My son has sort of set his own bedtime, so between 8 & 8:30 we sometimes give a bath. Every night one of us puts lotion on and a little baby massage, a fresh diaper, and a swaddle (we use halo sleep sack): I️ nurse, and then he goes down in his dockatot. He’s generally alseep by 9.
I don’t go to bed when he does; although that would probably be ideal for me. But my husband and I hang out and then go to bed later. We don’t have baby in a place where we can keep an eye on him-we know he’s just fine where he’s at.

id say you have to have a routine, and stick with it. i have older kids in school so we are always on a routine, and stick with it. 530-6pm is supper, 7pm is bath, 730 ( for my older kids) is lay in bed time. lights out at 8pm. Baby girl feeds at 8pm for her last feeding of the night. I feed her in my bed with only a dim light on, or a night light. she eats about 35-40 minutes, and shes sleeping before 9pm.  she wakes up around 430 every morning to eat, sometime she wakes at 5am. ive been having this routine with her since birth. no when she was fresh out of tge hospitsl, up to 1 month old, she would wake more often to eat. shes going a little longer each week so far.

Babies dont start developing a routine until around 6 or 7 months and even then they might not grasp it. 7 weeks is still too young to try to get to sleep at a certain time. 
You can do bathtime and stories at a certain time every night but its still too early to try to set a sleeping schedule.

The routine we started is at bedtime we go upstairs and I dim the lights. I change his diaper, put on a bedtime lotion, sing twinkle twinkle little star, and then put on his jammies. Then I swaddle him and he nurses. I hold him until he is asleep and put him in the bassinet.
