Fwb w my ex thing?!

So I've had feelings for this guy before but it was literally like three years ago, last week we reconnected and had a convo for a few days but he read my message and didn't reply back (btw he was the one who reached out first last week) but honestly my feelings are gone but I'm down to be fwb with him, even if he left me on read should I message him? If I do, do I start it with a simple "hey" hangout a few times & then go from there? Or just leave it, move on.
