Meet Jeremiah Paul. My miracle baby... well my youngest miracle. My husband and I found out we were pregnant this last spring. We were both so excited. I was also slightly terrified. My daughter, who is almost two, had came into this world with a bang. My daughter was born with Lacunar skull. The Lacunar skull, combined with a complicated delivery resulted in my little girl suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. She suffered from seizures during her first week of life. I also had significant complications during delivery which earned both of us a transfer to a hospital six hours away. Thankfully, Punk has completely recovered. No seizures, no developmental issues, the Lacunar skull has resolved and my baby girl is a happy, healthy toddler. I convinced myself the next baby would be a way easier compared to my first.

At first I was right! The first weeks flew by with no issues. Mid July I finished up a night shift (Cop) and went home with what I thought was gastrointestinal aches. A few hours later I woke up to find I was bleeding. Fearing a miscarriage, my husband drove me to the emergency room where I was flown to a different facility after local doctors feared I was suffering an ectopic pregnancy. They were partially correct. I had a heterotopic pregnancy (ectopic and uterine simultaneously). The tubal pregnancy had ruptured. They obviously had to remove the non-viable pregnancy and part of my tube. I was sent home with the slight hope that the uterine pregnancy would carry until term. Milestone by milestone is being met and he continues to fight. Every milestone wipes away a little more fear and replaces it with immeasurable gratitude. Undoubtedly my children have been my biggest lessons in faith.
