My thoughts are, this is a joyful time for me and my husband. Whether that joy lasts for two more days or a full 9 months, we want to share that joy with our close friends and family.  We will share with others after our first ultrasound next week (around 8 weeks).

I'm not telling friends and extended family till after scan at 12 1/2 weeks. Told parents at 8weeks x

I announced mine a couple days after 11weeks. I've had a lot of friends announce theirs early (5/6/7 weeks) and then they lost their baby. I didn't want to go through that.

I have read that it's best to wait to 14 weeks - what are people's thoughts?
