Irregular sac no heartbeat

I have read so many different things on here but was hoping to find someone with a happy ending who had a similar situation to me. I am 5 weeks 5 days. Have had spotting to medium bleeding for the past week. HCG levels went up but did not double. Had an ultrasound today that showed no heartbeat, an irregular gestational sac and the sac was not centered. Yolk sac was seen but no embryo.

My doctor told me to prepare to miscarry but I just can't come to terms that this is happening. I am praying there is still a chance since I do not have any pain and don't have enough blood to soak through pads or anything.

Has anyone had a similar situation that can relate?
