Am I a snob for not wanting a second hand buggy? 👇🏻 please read.

Question

So I’m not against 2nd hand at all. 
My kids have clothes from friends kids all the time. 
But, I’m funny when it comes to newborns and putting them in a 2nd hand buggy.
Don’t get me wrong, #2 had baby #1’s buggy and still uses it now, but it was mine and I knew where it come from. 
As they get older yeah sure, 2nd hand all the way as I have done with my Son. (Have had so many buggy’s!) 
Just I couldn’t imagine putting a newborn in a buggy that you have no idea where it’s come from. 
Pets, smoking home etc. 🤢

If you can afford it, why not. I bought mine new as well. I've used it for 3 kids now. I'm not against second hand either and have second hand things, but there are certain things I just wanted new.

If you don’t need to buy one second hand because you’re not in that situation, I’m really not sure of your point...to point out that other moms should feel the same way or something? I don’t get it.

I won’t use anything second hand that can affect my girls safety. So no strollers, car seats or cribs. But clothes and things I can wash are fine in my opinion. If the stroller came from somebody I knew and trusted then I wouldn’t mind so much but no to strangers

It’s all up to you honestly. I understand your concerns about germs and newborns. The stuff I’ve bought second hand for my newborn was a swing, a crib and a stroller. Got it from my Facebook marketplace. Some thing are acceptable and some aren’t but that’s my preference. This is YOUR child so other moms should not mom shame you for being concerned about your little ones health. If you don’t want second stuff yet then don’t get it. Hope this helped. Not at all. That’s your right as a parent. You’re not saying you want one of those ridiculous $1,000 and up designer strollers... and ya know what, even if ya did... still your right.

I bought my son’s bugaboo second hand but to be fair it wasn’t used. The lady works for the company and they sent her one. She has one already, So she resold it
