How many have left your 18/19 month old overnight?

Question

Just curious how many of the may 2016 moms have left their little ones overnight. I haven't done it yet and I don't know if I'm ready!!

Pshh I love it! I mean don’t get me wrong I love my son to death, but when momma needs a break and my parents say they will watch him for the weekend. I don’t even hesitate. The first time I was a bit nervous, but now I’m completely fine about it.

I leave my kids with my mother once in 6 months for 2 nights. We live in Zambia and she lives in SA so she loves the time with them and I get a break. Before you judge, I am a SAHM with no help. So 2 days in 6 months helps me alot. My son is 18 months and my daughter is 6

I just did for the first time tonight and bawled my eyes out. I needed it though. I  a college student and had to complete 3 exams and 3 (4-5 page) essays in three days. I finished some of it last night in between taking care of my daughter and tried to complete things today but my daughter wasn't having it. I called my mother in law sobbing and sobbed for hours after my daughter wad picked up. But my mother in law sent me pictures of their evening together and it made me realize I made the right call. I completed all of the assignments, and my daughter got the attention she deserved. I pick her up at 7am tomorrow and I'm excited!

I'm in the military. I have been gone for about a month of her life in total plus plenty of late nights where she was asleep when I got home. Only the first time is really hard. We managed to nurse to 13M even with me being gone so I'm happy with it.

My 18 month old is having her first sleepover at grandmas house tonight! But- ive shared her care with her dad since 6 months old. I need time for work and it also gives me a chance to miss her

My baby has stayed overnight with grandparents several times. The first time she was a little over a year old and I was in the hospital for a couple of nights. We also left her with my mom when she was 13 months and I was still nursing. She’s stayed overnight a handful of times with our parents since then. Please don’t feel guilty for leaving your child overnight. It’s ok! It doesn’t make you a bad parent.

I have twice with my parents one time I was away on a women’s retreat and my husband ending up being sick that weekend and the other time was we went to his Sister college graduation and got back late and then a few months ago we did s birthday celebration with friends and let my parents keep her as well so I guess that makes three they loved it and really enjoyed it as well as my daughter it was great bonding time for the both of them

Ive left mine once, not by choice ( I was in the hospital overnight) when he was 10 months. We are expecting #3 in a few months so I suppose I should start allowing a few over nights with my mother in law since she will be keeping the kids but I'm just not ready. My oldest was almost 3 before I let her really stay anywhere.

I just did it this past week! It wasn't as bad lol I needed a break. I left him for 2 nights and he EB. Was hoping to wean him off from the day time feeding as well but that was a fail. First thing he wanted was to breastfeed!
