Told my boyfriend I'm pregnant. NOT what I was expecting!

So tonight I told my boyfriend of 3 years I'm pregnant. I honestly expected him to freak out. But he's how things went down.

We were listening to music and I played "Growing Up" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, trying to give him a subtle hint. When the song was over, I told him to close his eyes and hold out his hand. I place the first pregnancy test I took in his hand. It was one of those cheap 88 cent ones, and he wasn't sure if the results were positive or not. So then I hand him the second pregnancy test, which has a big plus. It finally clicked.

He says "you're pregnant....?"

I just start sobbing because we hadn't planned getting pregnant. He immediately pulls me in for a hug and he says "we're gonna get through this". And I cry and cry away. He pets my head and says "Whatever you decide to do, I'll support you". I cry for a bit more and then I finally calm down. I can't believe he reacted so maturely. Later on, yes, he did freak out a little.

I told him "I have faith in you. Nothing can keep you from achieving your goals if you put your mind to it and work hard. Not me or a baby. I will support you no matter what."

He apologized for freaking out. And we snuggled for the rest of the night. I'm so lucky to have him. He's really grown a lot since we first met. I was really scared at first, but once I told him and he comforted me, I think I'm actually happy that I'm carrying his child.
