What's next?

Ok so we just found out we are expecting and I going to make an appointment to get a blood test and get some prenatal vitamins but whats next?

Answer

Yep- waiting. I had my first appointment to confirm at 6 weeks (Urine test), then my next appointment at 8 weeks (blood draw and going over family medical history, etc), and my first scan was at 10 weeks, and we also did a Pap smear that day. Up until about 8-10 weeks it's hard to see anything on an ultrasound as baby is so tiny! So its normal not to have your first scan until after that point. Until then you just enjoy being pregnant :)

A lot of waiting. I didn’t see the doctor until 12 weeks and got a trans vaginal ultrasound. Then another abdominal ultrasound at 16 (elective), then an anatomy scan at 20, then just regular check ups where they check the heartbeat and measure the fundus and do weight and Bp, then I got another at 36 weeks for growth and tested for GBS, then weekly appts until my due date and got induced.
