when do doctors start checking your cervix?

when do doctors start checking your cervix? I'll be 35 weeks next week and that's when I go back, I was just curious if they would check then or wait until I come back at 36 weeks? I'm a ftm and I know every doctor is different.

My doctor doesn't start until 38 weeks, she doesn't see a point in risking infection just to see if im dialted. When you could be dialated and stay at the same number for weeks. Then at 38 weeks if I'm not she will offer to do a membrane sweep. Or at least that's what she did with my first daughter, not sure if it's the same with a second baby.

Mine start at 36 if u have contractions. If not then 37

My dr said if all continues to go well it won’t be until I’m in labour (or signs of) I’m 35 weeks now .

I think they check only in case you mention any bleeding spotting cramping or any other signs of labor
