Braxton Hicks Contractions

I'm 37wks pregnant and I've been having really painful BH Contractions for a little over a month now. This is my second baby and I don't remember BHCs being this painful! I honestly feel like I'm in labor at times, with full uterine contractions coming back to back and lasting for hours, but they always stop. They are waking me up several times a night in pain kind of contractions, but no dialation so they aren't actual labor. I keep hydrated, eat lots of protein, and lay down to try to stop them when I can. Is anyone else experiencing this?
