Is 5-6 weeks too early to announce your pregnancy?

We would love to announce our pregnancy on Christmas but will only be 5w 4d. Thought about new years instead but still only 6w 4d then. How long are you waiting?

We announced to family and close friends right away. Won’t go social media public till 2nd trimester. I want to celebrate every pregnancy if something were to happen I know if need a support system and those are the people we announced to right away.

Whatever you’re comfortable with! My first child was announced the day after we found out (to my parents). We would have waited, but it was the only opportunity we had to tell them in person (they were visiting from out of town). I don’t regret it at all! This time we are waiting till 8 weeks, because it is nice to have it as a little build up to the surprise...and it will be Christmas, so a perfect time to surprise the whole family while they’re together...

With our first pregnancy, we announced early in a cute surprise way. Literally a week later I bled and discovered our pregnancy wasn't viable. I regret telling our parents before seeing the ultrasound to make sure it was in my womb. I felt so bad for causing them some of the pain I was feeling. It was nice to have them understand why I was depressed and not speaking to anyone on my birthday (day after my miscarriage). And to have someone to talk to. So there's that. We just simply told them about our next pregnancy with no surprise (before our ultrasound). I couldn't imagine doing a surprise without it being like, "oh. Ok?" Either option has negatives to it.

I'm gonna be the same amount of time. we are announcing to our parents and siblings at christmas but keeping everyone else in the dark until the new year. it your decision. and most people will say becuase of miscarriage don't do it and depending on how you look at that it will make your decision. if I miscarry I want support so I don't mind people knowing. my best friend and my family can know. I'm not telling coworkers and acquaintances until I'm probably 3 months. you do you girl!!

I just told my in laws at 5 weeks and 3 days, everyone else will find out at almost 8 weeks on Christmas Day. 🙂

Do whatever feels right for you! Our first we told our parents a few days later... was nearly 7 weeks. This time however we are going to wait a bit longer, I'm pretty chubby so let's hope I did it well! Already bloated as!
