Castro Oil???

So I’ve been walking around my neighborhood for the past 3 days and still nothing!! An elderly woman stopped me and suggested that I should try taking some Castro oil mixed with orange juice to induce labor. Has anyone else tried this? I’m just curious

We were told specifically NOT to do that. It can cause baby to poop in the womb, which is bad news. Baby will come when they're good and ready. If it doesn't sound totally awful, try having sex! I went into labor immediately afterwards.

Do not take castor oil without being in a hospital.
Its a laxative and can cause a lot of issues includng the fetus passing meconium and then ingesting it.
Its a dangerous practise and should not be attempted.

Oh honey please don't you "may" go into labor with a baby... but you WILL go into poo labor.  I was given that terrible advice with my first and I did indeed go into labor after 2 hours of toilet labor. My butthole was was raw by the time I went to the hospital the dr and nurse thought I had something and I had to confess what I'd done.... it was just awful all the way around.

Try prunes. Natural laxative which won't stress the body like castor oil.

Dangers of castor oil aside, pushing your body to go into labor before its ready makes you more likely to tear during childbirth.
I personally want to reduce the risk of tearing so as long as baby is healthy, i will be waiting.
