Partners chlamydia test???

why did I test positive for chlamydia but my partner didn’t? I got my results monday that they were positive and his results came back today negative? we’ve been completely monogamous and no I didn’t have it from a previous partner, I was tested

We won’t have the answer to that.. maybe he caught it and secretly treated it. Or maybe you had it before and managed to not pass it. It’s possible

You should get retested. With my first pregnancy, I had a lot of bleeding at 11 weeks. Went to the ER. They did swans and tested for a lot of things. I got a call 2 days later that I was positive for chlamydia AND gonnorhea. I was DEVESTATED. my husband was out of town and I know I had been nothing but faithful. I made him go to the health department that Monday morning and get tested for everything. I went with him. They gave him an antibiotic shot and made him take 4 antibiotic pills there on the spot. I had a follow up with my OB the next day. She swabbed for everything again and sent it off. Told me she really didn’t think I had either of those things. Sure enough, both MY retest and my HUSNANDS initial test both came back negative. The lab tried to tell me it was because I had blood in my swab that was taken at the ER. Bullshit. I made a hugeeee deal out of it. I was also told that the same thing had happened to 2 other pregnant women at the practice I go to-one was pregnant with twins and her husband actually left her. Please go get retested.

It seems usually when this happens one of the tests was wrong, or you just got it and he hasn't contracted it yet
