How Long??

Question

I was on the pill for 3 years.  I just went off a couple of weeks ago in preparation for my husband and I to start ttc in a few months.  How long did it take everyone to start ovulating after they went off of the pill?  For some reason all I can think about is getting my body to do what it’s supposed to do!!

I’m in the same boat..I was on birth control for 6 1/2 years..I stopped in August..Still TTC..I’m currently taking prenatals & using PreSeed..Good luck girly!

I second the ovulation tests! Cheap ones from amazon work just as good as the expensive ones. Since your still in prep mode to start trying use them for a month to get a general idea of when you are ovulating (that’s what I did!) come time for our month I was using the ovulation tests and the calendar on here was almost a week off of when I was actually ovulating. Also big tip!! Do NOT put pressure on your husband, putting pressure on him can make him not preform as well as if you two were just doing it for fun! Best of luck!!

Buy ovulation tests! I bought them right away. I was on the NuvaRing for close to ten years. Had a withdrawal bleed immediately after stopping, ovulated the first month, was able to get pregnant the second month.

Thanks ladies!  I just bought some OPKs.  Even though we aren’t quit ttc yet there is something about not knowing when/if your cycle is going to start doing what it’s supposed to on its own!  Glad to have so much support!!
