Birth Control after Baby?

Jennifer

Ladies! What’s your plan for birth control after baby is born? The pill? Implant? Patch? Shot? Condoms? When I was on the pill prior to TTC, it was great! Helped regulate my periods, cramps weren’t nearly as awful, and my acne even cleared up! But when my husband and I started trying, I always felt like/wondered if part of the reason it took so long was because of being on birth control. My OBGYN told me he felt it was very unlikely. He told me there’s two different types of birth control pills: type A that has one hormone, and type B that has two. He said type B is most effective in preventing unwanted pregnancies, but in some studies, has shown a decrease in milk output; while type A doesn’t effect milk, it’s not as effective as type B. Now my mind is just boggling while I try to decide which choice is right for me and baby 🤨🤔🤷🏻‍♀️
