Can you fall back in love?

Question

I have only been married 6 months but together a year and a half. I know all relationships lose that new feeling after a bit, but I don’t really know if I’m in love with him anymore. I do love him but not so sure about being in love :( has anyone else had this issue but came back of it?
We have had some issue for the last 3 weeks but I don’t think it would make me fall out of love. Even my parents have made the comment “we don’t see you as happy, that twinkle in your eye anymore.”

marriage isn’t 100% about falling in love and hoping the butterflies are always going to still exist. it’s a huge commitment to stay with one person for the rest of your life, and it’s about CHOOSING that person, every moment of every single day. even when you don’t want to. pursue each other, do the fun + spontaneous things you did when you were just dating, get out and go on dates often, surprise him in the bedroom, put both of your phones down and have a deep/intimate conversation, remember the things that made you fall in love wth him in the first place. you have to choose to love him in the good + bad and work on your marriage together, even when you may resent each other.

Consider what your expectations are and if those expectations are realistic. Being in love forever is unrealistic in my opinion. You don’t hear the married couple who has been married for 50 years saying how in love they are. They say they love, respect, support one another...or they re best friends. I think there are high expectations in general for our generation. I’m in love with my husband but I’m fully aware of the fact that those butterflies will be replaced one day with other things like a feeling or security and emotional support. He will always be my person whether he buys me flowers on my birthday or not. Just some food for thought 😘

When I got married my husband and I did an “engaged encounter” weekend and the most useful thing they told me was to honk of marriage as seasons. Sometimes it’s a great season and other times it’s a cold, dark winter. But I definitely think feelings are stronger some seasons and weaker in others, but if you are in a weak season, a strong one will follow!

Marriage isn’t a place where you just sign the papers and everything else falls in place. It’s actual work. You need patience, kindness, understanding, and determination to make this thing work. (Also wine helps 😜) 
But really. Some days you’ll want to scream and throw everything just to get him to understand toilet paper goes ON the roll. You won’t like him some days. And you’ll question whether you’ve made the right decision. And that’s okay. Especially in the beginning. It’s scary to have feelings like that. But don’t read too much into them. Emotions run high. You’re human. 
I’m not saying you should remain miserable, but give it a fighting chance.

In the same boat. Together for almost 3 years and I do love him but, no IN love with him. He has put me through a lot so there were times I resented him but, lately things seem to be slowly turning around. I definitely think that there are seasons. It’s just a matter of getting through them or not. We’ve really had to TRY for our marriage. Deleted all social media’s and focusing on us. Good luck! I pray that there is a positive outcome. We all have our struggles. ❤️❤️
