Induction and Stubborn Baby

So I'm two days past my due date with absolutely no signs of labor. My doctor already told me to get ready for an induction so we have an appointment on Tuesday to see if it'll be that day or the next. People keep telling me to prepare for a c-section, which I really don't want because of the fact that I'll be with her by myself the majority of time. Is there anyone else that had to have an induction due to a stubborn baby that didn't lead to a c-section?
