A Cold During First Trimester?

Has anyone else experienced having a cold in the first 5 weeks of being pregnant? I just started having a stuffy / runny nose and watery eyes, and throat that's a bit scratchy just cause of post nasal drip? What did you take to help make it go away? So far I'm using claritin and saline nose spray. No other symptoms yet, a little more tired than usual but not much else. Oh and sore boobs of course. Lol. I see my doctor on the 11th for my ultra sound. :) praying for a healthy everything for my little potatoe and I <3

While your pregnant your ammune system weakens because all your nourishment is going towards the baby. I got sick back to back when I was in my first trimester. All I would do is rest lots and drink warm water with honey and lemon. But pretty much you just gotta go through the motions for now

That's why I even tested! I had a cold for two weeks, which is crazy for me. and on top of that, I couldn't sleep!

Yes!! I did that’s how I found out lol and nothing helps! My ob said it’s the “baby cold” and all you can do is go with it! Lol at night it helps to have a fan blow your way so that you can breathe! And a diffuser!🤦🏼‍♀️😂 haha
