Period or spotting ?

I got my period 3 days ago &&' all of a sudden when I wiped it was brown like the discharge you get after your period im really confused &&' I just got really bad cramps out of no where. Its not normal for me to get bad cramps in the middle of my period. I'm really confused right now. Some one help please 😢
