i feel so upset

last day was my birthday and i’m in a relationship with a guy for more than one year.. about 20days ago it was his birthday and i surprised him some days before his birthday with my handmade gift.. write him a poet.. but last day he just said hbd as any other person and told me that he has no money for buying me a gift or going out there:/ now i’m so unhappy because birthday os very very very important for me.. it’s not because of only a gift but he brake ma heart.. you know he should think about it so many times ago not currently on my birthday that he has no money.. i wanna break up but i scare that he will think i break up only for gift.. but i’m really and seriously upset about that
