First walking shoes?!

My doctor said not wearing shoes is best since they are still are still gripping the floor with their toes. Soft-soled shows of necessary and only hard soles if they need protection while outdoors.

As soon as my son took his first steps, my MIL started insisting "he needs arch support!" I try to tell her that soft soles or barefoot is best (and reference medical sources) but she won't let it go. I'm pretty sure she's getting him supportive shoes for Christmas but that doesn't mean they'll end up on his feet 🙄 I'll probably get him some Robeez.

the best shoes for begginers are jamo or pediped.  the have a sole that mimic their first steps.  They're made of leather inside out and even their sole is leather I think pediped has a better sole.  My son is mostly barefoot at home bit when I take him to class or the park that is what he wears and we had no issues he start walking with help since 8months and by himself without assistance at 11 months.

She is barefoot at home but when we leave the house she has robezees or padraigs 😊. I prefer the padraigs as they tie on so she loses them less often
