Unmotivated and unwanted!!!

So my boyfriend of 8 months doesn't seem to be self motivated. He just recently got a job that he said he doesn't like. I try to encourage and support him, but it's starting to mentally drain me. I'm not sure of what he wants to have. He has set goals but he never follow thru with them. He's 24 and still young enough to do whatever he wants to do. School is a option. I told him to just go to school and focus on a career path. He wants to work but has been having trouble finding a job that he likes. I'm confused!!! I like him. He's a great person but his lack of motivation is causing me to not be attracted to him. I'm not as sexually attracted to him which is bad because he's so hot!!! Any ideas on how I can help him???
